NZQA FEES NZQA fees can now be paid at the Enrolment Centre. The fee is $75, regardless if you are participating in internal and/or external standards. This fee must be paid BEFORE 10 September 2010. After this date you will have to deal with NZQA directly and pay a $50 late fee...........
Financial Assistance for NZQA fees Financial assistance is available for the $75 NZQA fee, and forms can be collected from the Enrolment Centre. These must be completed and returned BEFORE 20th August otherwise the application will not be processed. A reduced fee will still need to be paid before the payment deadline.
School Ski and Snowboard Trips don't forget we still run trips to Porters each weekend and at $55 for everything for a day in the snow It's a bargin. Book in early at the enrolment center.

Application forms and Deposits of $25 per ticket can now be made at the enrolment centre to secure your attendance.Total Cost is $55.00 per single or $100.00 per double.
Last date for purchasing your tickets is on Friday September 3rd.
Note tickets are limited so it is advisable not to leave it to the last minute.

STAR course vacancies - There are spaces on a video production course held at Vision College on 9-12 August. If you would like to do this, or any other STAR Course, please see Jackie in the Careers Centre
Victoria University Course Planning Drop-in Session, Wed 8 September, 2-5 pm Ballantyne room, Chateau on the Park, cnr Deans Ave and Kilmarnock Street, Riccarton. Students are welcome to drop in any time in the afternoon and discuss degree and course planning; accommodation and scholarships; admission requirements and enrolment process.
INTERESTED IN THE AN ARMY CAREER? They are now recruiting in a variety of trades for the January and Feb 2011 intakes. You should submit an on line application in the next 4 - 6 weeks if you wish to be considered for these intakes.
STAR - Natcoll have creative short courses in digital technology running till the end of the year. They range from 1, 2 or 3 day courses and some are on Saturdays. See Jackie if you would like to do one of these.

If you are going to a tertiary institution next year and want to know what you are entitled to regarding student allowance/loans etc then come along to this evening session in the student centre cafe. INTERESTED IN MASSEY UNIVERSITY? They are having a one off Road Show on August 10th at the Holiday Inn on Avon (Oxford Terrace) 3 - 8pm. Design and Arts, Veterinary, Aviation, Food Technology, Business and Humanities dept personnel (including some current students!) will be available. Want something to do after end of year exams?? The YMCA is offering a fully funded course for students 17 - 24 who are either returning to school or going on to university. It is especially suited to students who are keen on the outdoors and developing youth leadership.10 places available. See careers staff for information

CPIT School of Engineering Careers Expo. Thursday 5 August, 9.30 - 2.00 pm. Venue is the main building on Madras Street. Industry people will be manning stands, you can explore and talk to people representing and working in electrical, mechanical and civil engineering.

Scholarship - Russell McVeagh School Leavers' Law Scholarship. $1,000 grant for the first year of tertiary education and, once accepted for Law School, $2,000 for every year law is studied (subject to high academic standards being maintained)
