MID YEAR UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE
To ensure that NZQA confirms and awards your University Entrance Qualification in time for a Mid Year Enrolment at University the deadline for achieving your credits is 2.45pm Friday 18th May. This date cannot be extended under any circumstances.
After this date your results will be forwarded to NZQA for confirmation of your University Entrance directly to the University. Any results after this date will not be included and you may not be able to enrol at University until 2013.
To ensure that your credits are registered please ensure that you have completed ALL of the following BEFORE 2.45pm 18th May:-
- Advise each of your teachers of your intentions
- Complete assessments
- Pay your NZQA fee at the Enrolment Centre
- Contact Kerry Keats, NCEA Administrator, to check your results have been recorded and give details of the intended University
If any of these items are NOT complete the results will NOT be processed in time for mid year enrolment.
If you wish to discuss University Entrance further please contact Jennie Ring, Careers Counsellor, immediately.

Careers
CAREERS EXPO @ arena in Addington: Open to year 11 - 13 students. The school will take up to 80 students on the afternoon of Monday May 14th leaving school at 12.45 and returning 2.45. If you wish to attend (there is no cost) please sign up in the careers room and take home a permission slip which you will need to get signed by a parent and returned to careers staff ASAP.
STAR Couse Certificates to collect. If you did a course at Christchurch Academy in the holidays and didn't get your certificate please see Jackie in the Careers room.

Otago University Faculty of Law Career Function - Do you have an interest in Law as a career? Find out about the career opportunities in this field. The venue is at the Old Boys' Theatre, Christ's College, on Monday 11 June 1.45 - 3.00 pm. Please register with Career staff if you would like to attend this function.
Massey University in Auckland (Albany Campus) is having an open Day on Sat 12 May. Anyone interested in attending should see careers staff for information.
Air Force Challenge – 1-2 October. For students year 12 or 13 only. A good level of fitness is required. If you would like to be considered for the Air Force Challenge, see careers staff to get an application form.
ARMY CAREERS EXPERIENCE: This is an opportunity to spend a week during the July school break (2 - 6 July) at Burnham Military camp. Open to year 12 or 13 and exceptional year 11 students. Only one student can be nominated so interested students should register their names with the careers staff.
